Spring visit to The Farm

Anna, Eli, and I went for a wonderful visit to the farm in the Spring. Always a wonderful time! We missed BB, Eric, Jake, & Sam....but we managed to have an awesome trip. The trip began on an interesting note. Anna decided to take her loudest ginny (type of chicken) to live at the farm. So here we were headed down the road with a ginny in my van. It was sooooo loud! We only made it 15 minutes down the road and I called Eric's Mom. We stopped there and she saved us by giving us two thick blankets to cover the cage. Sweetie Pie (that was her name) finally was quiet and remained that way for the rest of the 6 hours! We were so thankful!
The Farm has to be the most fun place in the world! We loved it as kids and it is so wonderful to spend time with family and see the kids love it just as much. Doing the exact things Anna and I did when we used to come.
Here is Eli hanging out in Uncle Joe's tractor!
Uncle Joe taking Eli on a tractor ride!
I just love this picture of Cousin Carrie and Eli. Another awesome thing we all love to do is to ride in the back of the truck.

Feeding the chickens is also so fun!
Another fond memory is climbing up on the fence to the corral where the cows come to drink. I just love how natural it was for Eli to just climb on up and check things out just like we used to. (Well we still do it!)
Adorable picture of Cousin Melissa and Carrie on top the bails of hay! One of the best farm things to do is to jump the bails of hay!
Here is Eli posing on the big tree we grew up picnicking under. Fell a while back which is sort of sad.
Aunnie and Eli in the pasture ....Eli thought this huge tractor tire was pretty cool!
Four wheeling with Melissa or as Eli says (Lissa)
Our first experience fishing. So fun!
Eli and Lissa waiting for the big one to bite!
Eli catching his first fish with Uncle Joe! He was a little unsure of this.

Driving the truck to check the cows. Always the best!!!

Beach Week 2011

Each summer several of my college friends all get together for a fun week of beaching it together. This year we rented an adorable little beach house for the week. It turned out to be an awesome week!! We had a great deck that I could have just lived on.... looking out to the waterway and feeling the beach breeze. First part of the week was kid free and quite fun to have some free time. Jonathan and I biked a lot and attempted to kayak...we may need some lessons on that.
Here is our view out to the waterway!
This was one of the comfy spots on the deck.

Love this picture of Jonathan...looks like he is posing for a magazine!
Jake, Sam, and Aunnie came for one of our beach days. They usually do and we had a great day! Here the boys are resting after a long day at the beach.

Sweet cuddles with Sam!
All our gear at the beach! We got a good laugh out of how much stuff we would drag down there everyday!

We got the kids together for a picture. Turned out really cute...the funny pictures are of us trying to get them all to smile! To bad that wasn't videoed...we sounded like crazy people.
I thought this picture of Jenna was so funny!....at least I think that is Jenna, but I bet I have them mixed up. I usually do! ;o)
This is a twin patrol picture....whole new world! Jennifer and Reggie are my heros! They are so lucky they have two really good girls that are laid back and go with the flow.
Love this picture of Jonathan and I!
Great picture of Jennifer and Reggie
Sweet sweet love!

This picture absolutely cracks me up. Eli just loved being right there at the beach. We went on bike rides, went for walks, searched for shells, ....all kinds of fun stuff. This day we had walked down to the waterway and Eli had ridden his bike. We got down there and he decided he wanted to get in the water with his clothes on which was really fun! Then he wanted to strip the wet clothes off, so this was the treck back to the house. We thought it was hysterical!!!

My dear friend Melissa offered to do pictures of Eli for a Happy Easter gift. She claims she is no photographer...but as you will see she is and is a pretty awesome one! They turned out amazing! Eli is one photogenic little cutie.

Here Melissa captured this sweet picture of Eli with Penelope aka (Elope...which Eli calls her)
