Mountain Trip 2011 With Nesselroades

Eric and I go to the North Carolina Mountains each Thanksgiving with our wonderful friends Tonya and Chris. And of course their girls Sam and Kaley and Chris' Mom Dianna too!
It is one of our very favorite get aways! Awesome family fun and relaxing!
This year we stayed in an amazing cabin near Maggie Valley.

Here is our van...aka "the pearl" Rudolph nose and antlers and all ready to hit the road!
Here we are on a hike. Some gorgeous views and mild weather this trip.

Here was our cabin. We just loved it!
Eli and Sam playing out back!

Eli looking out off the deck. Love this silhouette.
Sam and Eli pointing at the bald eagle we spotted soaring over the hills and valleys! It was beautiful!
Chris and Eric having a little Holiday Nog in Eric's new moose mugs. Chris and Tonya got him the moose mugs from the movie Christmas Vacation. Another mountain tradition we don't miss!
Honestly these two were two peas in a pod this week.
More hiking with Daddy!

Mykonos, Greece

Here we are at our last destination in Mykonos, Greece! And our favorite spot from this trip!!! Greece is AMAZING and I can't wait to go back one day and spend more time. One day was not enough. It was breathtaking! Always wanted to go there...and hard to believe we went. So thankful for all our travels!!!
We were cruising into port at sun rise. We popped up and took some amazing pictures from our balcony.
Such a beautiful view!

Went to our regular breakfast spot on the deck looking out over Mykonos! Amazing!
You can see the huge windmills to the right in this picture. We were now in the Adriatic Sea. Much choppier there than Black Sea had been. You can really see that in this picture. Definitely felt it that night when we left for Athens where we were to disembark. That was our only rough night at sea.

The buildings were beautiful! Such interesting lines and shapes.
Cats were everywhere!!!!
Here we are in front of the gorgeous windmills!

Amazing shopping here, breath taking views, very relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food!

The Adriatic Sea is freezing COLD!
Adorable boat made into a seat! Love this idea!
Met up with some friends we met on the trip for cab ride to a local beach. It was about a 10 minute drive that our cab driver made seem like forever with his crazy driving. I loved this seat made out of a boat...such a quaint place.

We had been told about this restaurant located right on the beach! The food was so awesome! Authentic Greek food. We tried a little bit of everything and enjoyed our views.
This was looking out from our thatched covered beach chairs. Water was crystal clear and view was breathtaking! Could have stayed in this little spot for days!

Eric Relaxing on the beach!
Here we are getting ready to disimbark in Athens. This ship coming into the harbor was the Queen Victoria which we were told is the largest ship in the world. It made our ship look like a munchkin!
