Cousin Jake Visits

My nephew Jake is on his 3 week break, so he came to see us. We had a wonderful time. He said some of the sweetest and cutest things while he was here. He was loving on Eli and said, "Kaka I am so glad that Eli is my cousin." Then he said, "And Kaka I sure am glad you are my aunt!" Jake also kept getting amazed at how Eli poops. When Eli poops he puts on quite a performance. Not only is he very loud when grunting but he turns very red too. This was facinating to Jake. He would holler to me "oh kaka he's poopin!" or "Oh no here he goes again." We were eating lunch in the car when Jake came up with the funniest comment of all. Soon after one of Eli's performances, Jake says totally out of the blue....."Kaka do you think Uncle Eric farts in his office?" So random, but I thought it was hilarious!!! Kids really do come up with the cutest and funniest things to say.

I bought some baby hair jell and we gave Eli a mohawk! Eli was curious and trying to see what I had done to his hair.

This was the boys at the Children's Museum pretending they were canoing down the river.

Growin Boy!

We got a little messy on this day! This picture cracked me up. Eli looks like he's rollin' around in his food instead of eating it! He is an eating machine these days.
The 2 pictures below show all business. Eli is teething and I caught him grinding his jaws together with all his might. Still no teeth...but we bet anyday now. He looks thrilled doesn't he.

Hey look at me in my big boy pj's!

Eli was amazed with these things on his feet. This was his first day with shoes on. He wasn't so sure about them. The only thing he did know is that they tasted funny!

Having a BLAST!

If only everyone were as happy as Eli! He laughs at everything! Above he is so proud that he is up on his knees he got so tickled he laughed too hard and fell over!

These two are of Eli sitting in the green chair in our den...which he thinks is so cool. He is way to mobile to do it now with out me right there. In the one below he is trying to eat the camera.

Ready to go cruzin' the block. He loves his stroller!
He was cashed out! This walking the block thing is way tiring! I could just suck those adorable cheeks all up!

Visits from friends and family!

This was our "Louisburg College" weekend. Some of us had not seen each other in 15 years.
The picture above of Kathleen and Eli is adorable. Those blue eyes are going to get me in trouble I believe. Makes my heart melt. I was so excited to spend time with the girls and to share my precious Eli with them as well.
Jennifer and Eli...Eli is looking forward to meeting Jennifer's little Olivia.

Michelle and Eli hangin' out. Eli met Michelle's dog and thought he was the best thing ever. Everytime the dog ran past or barked Eli would get so tickled and laugh.

Dave was in town on business and snuck a little time in for a good visit with us. He and Eli bonded and hung out. Eli was wishing Dave's better half (Melanie) was here too.

This is Eli hanging out with his Aunt Aunnie....looks so sweet...wouldn't know that less than 5 min. after this picture was taken he threw up all over his poor aunt.

Valentine's

Happy Valentine's Day!
This is Eli giving me my Valentine's Day card. You can't beat that cutie pie! Best Valentine's ever! Absolutely everything goes into the mouth!

Now that Eli is sitting up the boys have decided it is time to start crawling lessons. They worked hard trying to help cousin Eli to crawl.

Aunt Aunnie and Eli. It is hard to believe he is already sitting up. He is very excited about it too. He loves being able to sit and play with his toys. I think he just has so many little friends that can sit up that he was determined to do it too. It sure makes life easier around here.

Sam and Eli cuddling watching cartoons. I think this might be one of my favorite pictures of all times. I think it is really obvious the family resemblence. Jake and Sam came Friday night to hang with us while Mom and Dad got away for a date.

The boys were so helpful while they were here. Eli just loved them doting all over him.

Fun with friends!

I am amazed everyday by Eli. I am a part of a Moms group through church that I enjoy so much. It has been so wonderful to have other Moms to talk to, share with, and learn from. It has been exciting to see all Eli's friends grow too. How neat to see friendships already forming. He really enjoys our lunch playdates. I look forward to the children growing up together.
Eli and his friend Story playing. We also caught them holding hands!!

On the left is Noah. He was being quite the comedian and Eli and bottom left Addison
thought he was so funny.

Top is Eli's friend Crosby just getting this walking thing down. Bottom is Eli's friend and backdoor nieghbor Addison.

The weather has been so beautiful, so Eli and I met Sarah and Sadie at the park.
This was Eli's first swing in the big swing. He and Sadie thought is was so much fun.

Eli is starting to try and sit up on his own!

Here is Eli hanging out with "his girl" Taylor! We went to visit our friends Holly and Charlie in New Bern for the weekend. We had to keep a close eye on these two! Below is a picture of Eli after his bath. He was not so sure about being wrapped in a #1 princess towel of Taylor's. I tried to explain to him that real men wear pink....he still wasn't so sure about it.

We've had some gorgious days here weather in the 70's. Dad and Eli were caught checking out the bird house. No one was home though.

This was a quick and surprise visit from Aunt Aunnie!I was loving having some one help out with a little fussy Eli and Eli was enjoying Aunt Aunnie because sometimes Mom gets a little boring.
